Our advanced modern dance sessions consist of a one-hour warm-up and fitness training session followed by another hour during which participants can learn combinations created from a mixture of modern dance styles. The session lasts 120 minutes.

Orsolya Pete completed a secondary-school course at the Budapest Dance College, then qualified at the Hungarian Academy of Dance as a modern dance educator. She began to teach creative dancing for children, then also took on fitness dance, modern dance techniques and improvisation within the Basic Level courses of the Budapest Dance Academy. She also participates in the Academy’s shows as an assistant choreographer as well as working as a light-show designer and lighting technician in other productions.

At my fitness dance sessions I teach muscle-development, stretching and stamina exercises that dancers use in addition to the various techniques.

At my creative dancing for children sessions, 6 to 12-year-olds play, train and improvise – dance – using the method developed by Iván Angelus and refined by our teachers.

Viktória Varga, dancer, dance educator. She is a former student of the Essen Volkwang Hochschule and the Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy. She has been teaching both young and older children for many years.

This contemporary dance class is for 13 to 17-year-olds. It is a dynamic session built on contemporary dance training with shorter and longer combinations occasionally. The development of creativity is also important through the use of various techniques of improvisation.
